Lexus wants people who normally buy midrange cars to “move up” to their brand. My question was, why should someone splurge now? I wanted a reason with emotion, but also rooted in logic. That reason is the self-driving car of the near future. Soon we’ll all be passengers, so the next car you buy just might be the last car you actually drive.
